Use even, indirect light
Avoid a single harsh light source. Chrome, refractors, and holo parallels throw glare that can hide the set name and card number.
Bug reports, wrong identifications, billing questions, feature ideas — all welcome.
maximusislamabadg84@gmail.comRecognition accuracy depends a lot on the photo. Four things make the biggest difference.
Avoid a single harsh light source. Chrome, refractors, and holo parallels throw glare that can hide the set name and card number.
Hold the camera parallel to the card and get the whole card in frame with a little margin. Angled shots distort centering analysis.
If a card is hard to place, the back usually carries the set, year, and card number. Scan it when the front alone isn't enough.
Graded cards work too — just tilt slightly to kill reflections off the plastic so the label stays readable.
Rescan with better light and the full card in frame — that fixes most misses. If it's still wrong, email us the photo and what the card actually is. Reports like these are how recognition gets better, and we genuinely want them.
Estimates reflect real market and recent-sale data, which moves constantly and varies by condition and parallel. A raw card and a graded copy of the same card can be worlds apart in value. If a figure looks far off, send it over and we'll take a look.
Use it to prioritize — it's designed to tell strong candidates from long shots so you're not paying to grade cards that won't grade well. It is not an official grade, and PSA, BGS, or SGC may return something different.
Subscriptions are billed by the app store, so they're managed there: on iOS, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by the app store under its own policy. If something looks wrong on our side, email us and we'll help sort it out.
Preslab is account-free — your saved cards, folders, notes, and value history live on the device itself. That means nothing to sign into, but it also means deleting the app or losing the phone loses the collection. Back up your device before you switch.
Preslab has no accounts. Your collection is stored on your device, so most of it is yours to remove directly:
Deletion is permanent — a deleted collection cannot be restored. Scanned card images are deleted from our processing systems within 30 days either way. Read the Privacy Policy for full detail on retention.
